Gamma radiation dosimeter DKG-PM1211
The DKG-PM1211 series of gamma radiation dosimeters is designed for continuous measurement of DER and DE of gamma and X-ray radiation, as well as for monitoring the time of safe stay near a source of ionizing radiation.
Operating principle
Measurement of DER and DE of photon radiation is carried out thanks to a built-in energy-compensated detector based on a Geiger-Muller counter. The operating algorithm of the device ensures continuity of the measurement process, as well as rapid adaptation of the device to changes in radiation intensity. If the established thresholds (DER and DE) are exceeded, the device gives sound and light signals. The dosimeters provide a function for displaying the current time, date and temperature. The non-volatile memory of the device allows you to save and accumulate measurement history.
Automatic calculation of the time of safe stay near radiation sources
The DKG-PM1211 series dosimeters implement a new function of automatic calculation and display (in real time) of the time of safe stay near radiation sources. Thus, when a preset DER threshold is exceeded, the device automatically switches to a mode with alternate display of the current DER values and the time of safe stay in a given radiation environment on the screen.
The use of DKG-RM1211 dosimeters with this functionality contributes to significantly facilitating and accelerating the process of responding to radiation incidents (due to a high level of automation and reducing the level of nervousness in the process), significantly reducing overall exposure and reducing the risk of overexposure for both officials and ordinary people.
Thanks to the intuitive display in time units (days, hours, minutes), the user can easily and quickly assess the degree of threatening personal radiation danger and react accordingly to it - move away to a safe distance.
