Search meter-alarm ISP-PM1401K-01M
Description
The ISP-RM1401K-01M alarm meter is a highly sensitive search device that is designed for radiation monitoring (detection and localization of radioactive and nuclear materials by their gamma and neutron radiation). The meter is equipped with three detectors: a scintillator based on a CsI(Tl) crystal for detecting gamma quanta, a channel on a Geiger-Muller counter, and a gas-discharge sensor based on He-3 for detecting neutrons. The neutron sensitivity of devices can be significantly increased through the use of a moderator chamber.
Operating principle
Thanks to the function of automatic measurement and storage of background radiation, the device adequately adapts to the background level, which simplifies the localization of a radioactive source in conditions of increased study intensity (localization of a point source against the background of a distributed radioactive source). The alarm meter immediately reacts to even a slight excess of the background value, notifying about this with sound and light signals. For hidden detection and work in places with high noise levels, an external vibration alarm is provided.
The meter-signaling device is easy to maintain, and correct operation of the device does not require special qualifications or training of the user. The device can be supplied with a telescopic extension, which allows radiation monitoring in hard-to-reach places and provides higher radiation protection to the user.
Purpose
The device is widely used to prevent the illegal movement of radioactive materials across the borders of various objects and states, as well as to ensure security and counter attempts to carry out terrorist acts.
Compliance
Designed to meet the requirements of ANSI N42.32-2006, ANSI N42.32-2016, ANSI N42.33 -2006, IEC 62401:2007, ITRAP+10 (IAEA)
