- Functionality
- Magneto-optical device "Regula" 7517A:
- USB magneto-optical imaging device, made as a separate module:
- magneto-optical visualization of a physical copy from magnetic tape
- converting the rendered image into a digital television signal
- changing frames by step-by-step movement of the magnetic tape using a tape drive mechanism, followed by automatic stitching of these images
- indication of device systems status
- A set of accessories for magnetic copying, consisting of a combined magnetic scanner-degausser with a set of replaceable concentrators, magnetic tape clamps, magnetic tape cassettes and other accessories:
- creating a physical copy on magnetic tape of the distribution of magnetic stray fields over the surface of an object, displaying relief and structural inhomogeneities of the material
- demagnetization of magnetic media for reuse
- stacking, labeling, storage and transportation of operational stock of magnetic tape and captured magnetic copies
- Eddy current magnetography devices "Regula" 7517B, consisting of a controller in a metal case with connectors for connecting two scanners for non-destructive studies of the structure of electrically conductive non-ferromagnetic and ferromagnetic materials
- Magnetization devices "Regula" 7517C, consisting of a set of accessories: magnetizing table with brackets, strips, etc. - used for optimal study of internal stresses in thick-walled ferromagnetic products
- Software "NUCA" - input and processing of images of markings of weapons and ammunition:
- comparison of image fragments
- measurement of linear and angular dimensions
- saving and printing image files
- Peculiarities
- Restoration of completely destroyed original markings of weapons and ammunition using ferromagnetic materials
- Examination of the surface of non-ferromagnetic materials to obtain information and (or) establish the fact of falsification of the original markings of weapons and ammunition
- Detection of weld defects in ferromagnetic materials and aluminum alloys
- Operating principle
- The magnetic tape is preliminarily demagnetized, laid and fixed on the surface under study.
- One of the scanners (part of the Regula 7517A magneto-optical device or the Regula 7517B eddy current magnetography device), corresponding to the type of material under study, which moves along the surface under study, is connected to the controller.
- To study internal stresses in thick-walled ferromagnetic products, a Regula 7517C magnetization device is used in combination with a scanner.
- The controller generates and supplies voltage pulses with specified parameters to the scanner.
- The pulsed current flowing in the scanner conductor forms an alternating magnetic field around it, which induces eddy currents in the electrically conductive material of the research object.
- Eddy current trajectories and associated magnetic stray fields display electrical resistance lines determined by the shape, size and location of defects in the object under study.
- The resulting magnetograms of the stray fields are processed by a USB magneto-optical imaging device, which is part of the Regula 7517A magneto-optical device.
- The rendered image is converted into a digital television signal.
- The NUCA software processes images of weapon and ammunition markings
