When developing security measures, much attention is paid to the equipment of stations, parking lots, stations,airports high-tech inspectionand security complexes.

Regulations

The equipment of railway stations and automobile stations must meet the standards established by Order No. 406 of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. This document sets out the basic requirements for the equipment of railway stations and stations, which must be observed unquestioningly.

Mandatory requirements

Bus stations should have:

• place where tickets are sold;
• waiting room;
• toilet room;
• short-term stay area for mother and child;
• places for temporary storage of things;
• dining room or buffet;
• medical center;
• security point.

Additional items

In addition to these facilities, stations may have other premises whose task is to improve a person’s stay at the bus station and create additional comfortable conditions for employees and visitors.

There are separate instructions for aprons, passenger drop-off and pick-up points. Such areas must have loudspeakers and information light boards.
