Integration into an access control system

When a person passes through a metal detector with a prohibited item, a light and sound indication is triggered; the information is transmitted through a wired connection to a turnstile (airlock cabin, automatic door, etc.), which blocks further movement of the person. If there are no prohibited items, the turnstile will allow access.
Parallel operation
When operating in parallel, metal detectors MODEL BLOCKPOST RS Z 600 M are recommended to be placed at a distance of 50 cm from each other. This equipment has several operating frequencies, which reduces mutual interference between adjacent metal detectors and provides the possibility of parallel operation. It is recommended to set different operating frequencies for metal detectors located next to each other.

Operating principle
The functioning of metal detectors is based on the use of an electromagnetic field. One of the walls (antennas) of the device sends a signal towards another wall, which receives this signal and then returns it back. As you know, magnetic waves do not pass through metal objects.
When encountering such an object located on the body of a person passing through an arched metal detector, one of the radio waves is reflected from it and returns back faster than the other waves. The device records the time the signal is reflected and when the time interval changes, the alarm device is triggered. A multi-zone metal detector has the ability to accurately locate one or more metal objects on the human body. Thanks to this, inspection time is reduced and its accuracy and efficiency is increased.
