Integration into an access control system
Thanks to the presence of an output for controlling actuators (dry contacts), BLOKPOST RS Z 100 detectors can be integrated into an access control system. Detectors can be installed in conjunction with airlock cabins, airlocks, turnstiles, tripods, and automatic doors.
When a person passes through the Z 100 CHECKPOINT with a prohibited item, a light and sound indication is triggered; the information is transmitted through a wired connection to the turnstile (gateway cabin, automatic door, etc.), which blocks the person’s further movement. If there are no prohibited items, the turnstile will allow access.
Parallel operation
During parallel operation, it is recommended to place BLOKPOST RS Z 100 metal detectors at a distance of 50 cm from each other. This equipment has several operating frequencies, which reduces mutual interference between adjacent detector frames and provides the possibility of parallel operation. It is recommended to set different operating frequencies for detectors located next to each other.
The distance of RS detectors operated in parallel depends on the sensitivity level and frequency combination. The minimum distance acceptable for operation is determined based on the conditions at the installation site.
Operating principle
The operation of RS Z 100 metal detectors is based on the use of an electromagnetic field. One of the walls (antennas) of the device sends a signal towards another wall, which receives this signal and then returns it back. As you know, electromagnetic waves do not pass through metal objects. The device records the time the signal is reflected; when the time interval changes, the alarm device is triggered. A multi-zone metal detector has the ability to accurately locate one or more metal objects on the human body.
